On January 6th, 2011, the great Tiberias Rowing Marathon commences in Tiberias, Israel. In conjunction with the 34th Tiberias Running Marathon, the Rowing Marathon will take place on the Sea of Galilee or Kineret. Participants will be rowing along side the race course of the Running Marathon. Wednesday, January 5th, rowers will arrive in Tiberias for a pasta dinner. The next day at 10 am, the 34th Tiberias Marathon starts along with the 10 km Regatta. Friday, January 7th at 8 am, the 6 km Coastal Rowing Regatta with begin with Junior men up to the age of 18. Following will be the Regatta for Adult Men ages 18 and older and Masters Men ages 45 and older. This event may possibly be mixed with women. Lastly, women ages 16 and above will commence their race for the full 6 km.
After the races, participants will be able to travel through the holy land of Israel for 5 days (Wednesday, January 8th- 12th 2011).
